Current Project

Been working on a 1:6 scale of this lately... I'm pretty sure you have an idea what it is ^_~.

will post finished product soon...

  1. Very good work as usual. I want to ask you a question and hope you can give me an answer in english, I do understand:
what material can I use for such furniture, looking like steel tube. there are so nice chairs, especially bauhaus, with steel tube I would like to make by myself - and I have no idea, what to buy as a material. and how to bend it? but I would try.
    Can you help me?

  2. Hi Oese, I would like to give you a better answer but I think I have the same problem, I haven't found any easy to use metal rod or metal to use yet. I only use wooden dowels at the moment and wrap them with chrome contact paper. I hope that helps you in some way. If I do find where to buy nice metal rods I'll let you know. Please let me know too If you find it first.^^ Thanks.

  3. Wow. I really thought you used metal too! Brilliant idea!
I found some silver craft paint that I'm going to try when I need some "chrome" accessories.

  4. thank you, dragondee! so now I had a very close look to your work and see, that the "metal" is not bended, but there are three pieces put together.
it's a pity, I like these bended tube furniture. I will ask some more object-designers and we will find a solution, I'm sure.
thae silver paint is not as glossy as metal or contact-paper. I used both before.
thank you very much for sharing your experience!
